Below is the schedule for the 2011 elections:

    Municipal: November 18, 2011Municipal Runoff: December 6, 2011

The following offices are up for election on the city level for the 2011 election year:

City of Hampton-three at large Council seats

Election Information:

  • There will be a county wide election for the renewal of the Board of Education SPLOST in conjunction with the municipals on November 8, 2011.
  • The City of Hampton is the only municipality that will be able to vote with the County and City on the same ballot. Voters in Hampton will not have to go to the City and County precincts on Election Day as the other 3 Cities will do.
  • Election Day, November 8, 2011, all City residents will vote at their county precinct, either North Hampton or South Hampton and receive a ballot with both County and City.
  • Voting begins in the Main Election Office at 345 Phillips Drive, McDonough on October 17, 2011 with regular office hours of 8:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Early voting with extended hours from 7:00-7:00 will begin on October 31, 2011 through November 4, 2011 at the Train Depot across from the police station.
  • Absentee ballots are available beginning Monday, October 11, 2011. A request to vote absentee can be mailed, scanned or faxed. Fax Number:  770-288-6468; Email: lfesmire@co.henry.ga.us   Requests are available on the County Website under Elections Department or at Hampton City Hall.
  • Voter Registration Deadline is coming up on October 11, 2011 and need to be postmarked by this date.
