The City Council meets the first Tuesday each month at with a workshop at 6:00 p.m. with the official meeting beginning at 7:00p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 17 East Main Street South, Hampton, Georgia 30228

Downtown Development Authority

The Downtown Development Authority meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at City Hall, 17 East Main Street South, at 6:30 p.m.

Hampton Historic Preservation Commission 

 

The HHPC meets the 4th Thursday each month at City Hall, 17 East Main Street, at 6:30 p.m.

Mission statement: The purpose of the Hampton Historic Preservation Commission is to establish standards to preserve, protect, and restore the character of Hampton, GA, and to insure that future development is compatible with the character of the historic areas of the town.  The Hampton Historic Preservation Commission believes it is important to recognize our history by encouraging property owners to preserve, protect, and /or restore the historic integrity of their properties.  The HHPC serves to support and assist property owners with these preservation efforts, which in turn enhances the character, appearance, and property values of the city of Hampton, GA.

 Hampton Business & Merchants Association

 

The HBMA meets the 2nd Thursday each month at the Train Depot, 20 East Main Street, at noon.

Mission Statement: Hampton Merchants workign together to give our community a voice in Henry County and hositing famiy oriented, business sponsored events within out City. The Hampton Business Merchants Association, the voice of Hampton’s Economic Community.

Tree Board

The Tree Board meets the 3rd Monday of each month at City Hall, 17 East Main Street, at 6:30 p.m.

Mission Statement: Provide support to Presercation, Conservation and Education and any other ways possible towards trees, shrubs, and vegetation within the City of Hampton.
